Paref Schools in Cebu was founded on February 14,1994. It began as Paref Southcrest offering Pre - Nursery, Nursery, Junior kindergarten and Senior Kindergarten.

Like many other Paref schools nationwide, Southcrest started off from  homey beginnings. The school was in  a grand colonial  mansion of the Jeresa’s in Lahug . The classrooms were the huge bedrooms of the family and the expansive garden was where all the activities were held including the Fathers’ Day. The families felt at home and secure in this environment paving the way to a good start for the HOME SCHOOL COLLABORATION  which is the big EDGE  of  the Paref schools. This values the role of the parents as the primary educator of their children.

Seventeen years later the Preschool transferred to its new location in Banilad Cebu and had a new name which is now Paref Southdale Preschool Cebu. At this time the school had grown from a population of 84 students in 1995 to 138 students in 2011. The school continues to make the children “BIG SCHOOL READY”   anchored in the strong Christian virtues and values with the  inspiration of the teachings of St. Josemaria Escriva.
