New Parents Education Program (NPEP)
New Parents Education Program or NPEP is a parenting course for new parents that helps parents become BETTER PARENTS. It lays the foundation for an effective partnership between the parents and the school towards an integral development of their children by providing parental formation to new parents. It discusses important topics on parenting that will help each couple bring up their children well.
NPEP uses the Case Study Method. Each session has a parenting circle and a plenary session. There are 5 NPEP modules:
- Parental Leadership
- Child Development
- Communication in Marriage
- Family Environment & Self-Esteem
- Preschools
PAREF Schools have partnered with Educhild in delivering the NPEP program catered to the PAREF parents. Educhild believes in these 3 principles, aligned to PAREF’s educational philosophy:
- Parents are first and foremost the educators of their children.
- The home is their first school.
- Parents realize the importance of this role and participate in formative activities.
