Mentoring

  • Each child is assigned a mentor (1:1)

  • Mentor personally guides and forms the child (behavior, relations with peers, and management of emotions)

  • Regular online mentoring chats are scheduled 2x a month, done via Zoom

An important feature of PAREF Preschools is the mentoring given to each child and his or her parents. Each child is assigned a mentor as a means of personal guidance and formation in standards of learning and behavior, relations with peers and superiors, and management of emotions, difficulties, and the other challenges of growing up. This mentor will be with him or her throughout the entire stay at the preschool ensuring a deeper, more realistic and relevant support to the child.

“Mentoring chats” between parent and mentors occur thrice a year. This is where the child’s academic progress is discussed. But what sets these chats apart is the emphasis given to the virtues and values that the child is able to learn and practice in school and at home. Action plans are drawn, reviewed and modified accordingly through the course of the school year.
